We now offer something that all "S" and other gauge hobbyists have always had a use for "TENDER WEIGHTS".
This weight was produced with pre-1966 AMERICAN FLYER steam engines in mind. But, can be used by all gauges from "S" through GARDEN scales.
Made from mild steel this weight is less thick than the original tender weight and weighs in at 3 oz. (original weight 4 oz.). So, two of these will weigh approx. 6 oz. and less high than the original.
A GREAT NEW ITEM for the scratch builder and those that add electronics to their pre-1966 AF Tenders or any one else for that matter.
After a lot of thought and testing we have come up with the ultimate heat sink / wire diverter. This simple phenolic strip allows the restorer / mechanic to finally place the power wiring for their pre-1966 open frame, series wound motors in the center of the motor brush block and at the same time help to cool the motor with more heat dissipation. "REMEMBER: HEAT KILLS ELECTRICAL MOTORS".

The #SA-24 replaces our #LDS-1 unit with a more robust unit that is in fact a STAY ALIVE board for the Eunit coil which allows the Eunit to cycle at a much lower power input permitting a slower initial opening speed (A MUST HAVE FOR SWITHCING OPERATIONS) for slower and more realistic operating speeds.
However, you must have a functional Eunit to start with.
This new board is also compatible with the AF 2 stage Eunit as well as LIONEL & MARX with the electro-mechanical Eunits.
